About Black Arts Production (BAP) Theatre
Founded in 1992, Black Arts Production Theatre (BAP Theatre) is a community-rooted theatre company dedicated to producing bold, socially engaged performances that amplify Black and ethnic minority voices. Our work uses theatre as a catalyst for dialogue, awareness, and change — bringing untold stories to the stage and connecting with audiences across London and beyond.
Alongside our productions, we run training programmes for young people and adults, designed to nurture the next generation of performers, writers, and theatre-makers. These workshops cover improvisation, scriptwriting, character building, and stagecraft, offering participants the chance to learn from industry professionals and showcase their talents through live performance.
By combining professional theatre-making with grassroots talent development, BAP Theatre stands as both a creative platform and a training ground — ensuring that underrepresented voices are not only heard but also celebrated on stage.
